Intended for use by wheelchair bound special needs children with a wide array of postural and balance issues, the Meywalk MK4’s Dynamic Movement system is of particular benefit to users with cerebral Palsy as it allows for fine tuning of the posture during regular gait training therapy.

The Meywalk MK4 features a suspended, dynamic, rubber saddle seat which provides freedom for a certain level of hip rotation during walking.

While the natural hip movement is followed and encouraged by the dynamic saddle seat, the special needs user is always brought back to the starting position in a gentle and safe manner.

The dynamic saddle seat also features a unique lowering/heightening system which allows for easy transfer between the sitting and standing positions or a wheelchair and the MK4.

Furthermore, this model features a unique and durable frame with spring suspension, to stimulate and develop a natural gait pattern and automatic ‘swing-through’ in the child, as well as to allow for increased activity and enhanced movement.

The Meywalk 4 by Pacific Rehab also features a wrap around, trunk support ring and prompter, which angles the torso forward so as to overcome spasticity and allow gravity and momentum to do its their job of helping to propel the user forward.

The spring level and trunk support sizes can be chosen before purchase, so that the MK4 gait trainer meets the postural and dynamic needs of your individual special needs child.

The Meywalk 4 gait trainer by Pacific Rehab incorporates a lightweight, all steel frame and hardy but soft, puncture proof tires with castors for smooth maneuvering from one place to the next, whether that be indoors or outdoors!

Parking and drag brakes are included to lock the gait trainer in place or to provide resistance during walking.

The MK4 is constructed and finished in only the highest quality materials to ensure a long life with the minimum maintenance necessary.

A full range of optional accessories are available to enhance support and balance, including anti-tip supports, leg divider and leg guides. An activity tray is also available to provide interest and convenience for the user during gait training therapy.
